Saturday morning Meditation and Yoga will commence in the next few weeks in this great space upstairs at our clinic. Keep an eye out on our facebook and Instagram page to get dates and booking links.

One class will have half yoga nidra (guided meditative time) and half gentle yoga stretching and another class will have more stretching/strengthening yoga and short meditation/relaxation at the end. I am very excited and cannot wait to join one of these sessions. You don’t need to be flexible, a yogi or be an athlete. The setting is small (4 people max), intimate, the teacher is warm and friendly and you can peacefully relax and reset your body.

Saturdays

6:30am (60min) Sunrise Gentle Hatha

8:00am (60min) Gentle Hatha & Yoga Nidra

9:30am (60min) Gentle Hatha & Yoga Nidra

Hatha Yoga is a philosophy made up of methods to create stillness to inspire inner peace and contentment. It is a gentle physical practice to help nourish and heal the body and mind, by encouraging the functionality of body systems, such as the muscular, lymphatic, nervous and circulatory systems.

Yoga Nidra is more widely known to be a method of guided meditation that seeks to obtain deep relaxation with attentive awareness. Yoga Nidra is experienced in a lying down position whilst being guided through a series of breathing exercises and simple instructions. Some of these instructions include awareness of parts of the body, feelings and sensations and visual imagery to help withdraw consciousness from the outside world to the internal world. This method allows tension and strains from the physical body and conscious mental workings to relax and drift into the background of awareness, so that one can begin to recognise their deeper levels of being.
